These courses are part of a Career Technical Education pathway, and completing the sequence earns articulated college credit at our partner institution. Confirm the current agreement and credit amount with your counselor before registration.
About the Teacher
I'm Justin Scott. I've been with Poly High School for 12 years teaching a number of different technology related courses. I have one 2D RPG game and one 3D survival game that I've been working on with students over the last few years. The lab is run just like a studio would.

Questions
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Level 1 starts at zero — the first weeks are the Unity editor and C# fundamentals, taught from scratch. Bring curiosity, not a portfolio.
Do I need my own computer?
Everything runs on lab machines during class. The whole toolchain is free, so you can install it at home if you want to keep building after the bell.
Can I take Level 2 without Level 1?
Level 1 is the prerequisite. Talk to me if you have equivalent experience and we will look at your work.
Is this just for people who want to make games for a living?
No. The C#, problem-solving, and project skills transfer to software, IT, and engineering. Plenty of students take it because building things is fun.
Do I have to be good at art?
Not at all. We use free asset packs and simple shapes for most projects. If art is your thing, there is room for that too.
How do I sign up?
Add it to your course request sheet during registration, or ask your counselor. Come by the lab if you want to see the room first.
